It's been a long week with this little girl recovering from the family cold. All of the sudden she needs to be attached to me all day, can only nap for 30 minutes at a time, and seems to drool her weight in saliva before noon requiring the both of us to change clothes at least three times. She's still all smiles between it all but this girl is finally wearing me out! I'll take everything she gives me though, because being her Mama will always be my second favorite job. Second to loving her daddy, of course.
Look for me soon! And here's a sneak peek of what I've been SLOWLY working on this week.
Rachel

ReplyDeleteit's the little froggy legs that get me every time!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is a dream. Your blog is fantastic and your creative skills extremely apparent.
ReplyDeleteThe only part of this post that made me raise a brow was prioritising your children and your husband. Maybe we have a different attitude in Europe. I love, adore, cherish my husband but my kids, well my kids are the centre of my world. It's an animal instinct...
Deedee,
ReplyDeleteI appreciate how you feel about your kids and that you were wondering how I could prioritize my family. I was taught at a young age that if I lost focus of my marriage because I was so wrapped up in my kids that they would eventually suffer more. It's more about nurturing the source of our family's strength (our marriage) so that the whole family can be strong, so they can feel secure, so I can feel balanced as a woman and not just a mother.
I think that kind of perspective on it may help you see where I'm coming from. It's because I love my children so much that I keep my marriage strong.
Totally see your perspective and your love of your family shines through.
ReplyDeleteI am wrapped up in my kids but am (I hope!) also an intelligent, working woman and wife so don't have the chance to lose site of anything-just juggle it all as best I can!
My parents also set me up with strong values. Their marriage is still going strong after 40 years, 4 children and 7 grand children so are always a source of inspiration for me.
Look forward to reading your next thought provoking and visually stunning blog.
Deedee,
ReplyDeleteOur families are lucky to have us! ;)
wow, these are adorable!! please show a peek of what you are making with these beautiful fabrics!
