Those items are all so great in their own unique ways. I collect old cameras (but mostly ones that are functioning that I can put to use!). I also have an assortment of owl items which I thrift here and there, but they're more functional type things (s&p shakers, trivets, wall decor).
I've been collecting tea pots since I was a little girl.
I love and adore them and have them from all over the world, including England, Japan, Russia. I even have a set that was my Great Grandma's and a set that was my Grandma's. They are beautiful and I can't wait to display them in my own home one day!

I collect old books, as well as old video cameras. My husband works in film, so we have a lot of vintage cameras about the house.
I collect vintage pint glasses! I really have learned to appreciate how beer is made and I really have started to enjoy the taste of it too ( I really didn't use to).
I think it's important to get use out of what you collect too. We use the pint glasses for juice, lemonade, and water everyday.

I have a small collection of luster ware pitchers and luster ware toothpick holders, a collection of (mostly gifts) carnival glass, and the kitchen is overrun with pigs and strawberries..the pigs have invaded other areas of the house too. And dolls also a lot of dolls have found their way here.

I collect snails. Let me tell you why. I studied in Siena Italy while there I lived in the Contrada di Chiocciola (The "Snail Quarter"). I was there for the annual Palio (bareback horserace in honour of the Virgin Mary) and got Chiocciola fever (the race is run by representative jockeys from each quarter). I have glass snails, pewter, handcarved wood and even a stuffed Gary (of Spongebob Squarepants fame ~meow!)

oh boy...I collect tons of things! But my longest running collection is elephants. I don't know why, but I've been collecting them ever since the first grade. Needless to say...I've got a whole herd of elephants by now.

I used to collect anything with a pig on it when I was a child and still have my (rather large) collection. Currently, I collect Vintage Pyrex teacups, vintage coffee mugs, and scarves.

It might be easier to list the things I don't collect! I collect old keys, alarm clocks and watches that I take apart and reuse, vintage white pottery, stone birds, photographs and prints of barns and cows, flower frogs, pottery bowls, books, vintage white nightgowns, paper wasp nests, buttons, vintage jewelry--you get the idea! I collect vintage camera, my hisband Grandmother gave us three of her old cameras when my husband took up photography. And I got hooked! She gave us a Brownie, 35mm Olympus EC & one of those skinny flat cameras. I bought another brownie this year at an antiques fair. Hooked!

I love to collect and look at skeleton keys...Just to think about all the hands that have touched them through time and all the doors they have unlocked and secrets they have kept behind the lock...To me they also represent unlocking opportunities of the future and, of coarse, keys to unlock the heart....
