    yes i've heard the new bon Iver cd. isn't he just wonderful!? The new relient k album comes out tomorrow and i've heard a little bit of it so far (and it's aweeeesome), but i've been listening to Elton John's greatest hits and Joshua Radin's latest cd (i swear it's PERFECT rain weather music, and oklahoma has been gettin a lot of rain!)

  72. My husband gave me the new concept album "God Help the Girl," which was Stuart Murdoch of Belle and Sebastian's glorious idea, and it's the only thing I've listened to for a solid month now. Such a fantastic vintage 60's British girl band feel. You must check it out.

    storyboards for sure is my fave album. i have listened to it everyday since elsie posted the link to purevolume. "clockwork" is my fave. i love all the different music in it..very alice in wonderland'y. :)

    New band crush falls between Phoenix and Passion Pit in a tie. Lisztomania from Phoenix and Seaweed Song from Passion Pit got me hooked on each band. I let my best friend, Joey, listen to them, and he too fell in love with them - and bought their CDs for me as a present!

    Two songs which have been stuck in my head (but aren't new bands to me, just old favorites) is "Black Coffee" by Black Flag (Henry Rollins ... swoon!) and "F*ck Fox News" by The Suicide File. (The line "I'm sick of television" repeated over is constantly playing in my head!)

  120. I've been really crazy about Lykke Li's album "Youth Novels" for a few months now...especially the songs "Little Bit" and "Time Flies." They're so pretty and sweet and sort of quirky. (but I broke my ipod 2 weeks ago, so I've been listening to audiobooks checked out from the library, the latest being David Sedaris' "When You Are Englufed in Flames." It's hilarious.)
