A Razzle Dazzle Giveaway

Hello! Hello! My name is Candace & I usually blog over at Sparkle Power about my life as a mommy, crafter, thrift store shopper & Etsian. I am so excited to guest post here at Smile and Wave today & am so, so thankful to Rachel for having me. I just adore Rachel & I wish her family the best as they welcome that new, sweet babe into their family. What an exciting time!

Being married to a graphic designer has really opened my eyes to type or letters & words in the world around me. Dylan, my husband, likes to point out type on signs or buildings that he finds beautiful or cool. He takes photos as he walks around town & I've noticed that many of his photos contain type. I've also noticed that much of our combined design work contains type. I've come to realize that we like words, we think that they can be beautiful, and they make up a big part of our style. Bringing together our love of type & my love of fabric, I created the razzle dazzle garland pictured above.

I'm wondering...if you could have any word or phrase hanging on your wall in the form of a fabric letter garland, what word or words would you choose? Let me know in the comments section. I will choose my favorite & send them all three of our 2010 printable calendars! Be sure that I can access your e-mail address from your comment or profile link.

The winner will be announced on Nov. 11th when my graphic designer husband, the other half of Team Sparkle Power, guest posts here on Smile and Wave.

That's what I would want on my wall, I am thinking of having it tattooed as well. You have to stay hungry for what you want, and stay free and not be tied down to keep you from doing what you want.

    "Traa dy liaoor."

It's Manx and means "time enough." I got to spend a week on the Isle of Man with a fantastic family, and they used this phrase frequently to remind them to slow down and enjoy the moment because there's always "time enough" for chores and other things that we sometimes focus on too much. I've loved the phrase ever since!
