Wednesday's done.
My mom is the best. She washed off and painted my doors today while I sewed. She watched Sebastian this afternoon and then again this evening so I could finish a few more oven mitts. She is on spring break and enjoying being away from her classroom. She invited me to go shopping with her and I had to take a raincheck. Talk about determination.
As long as I take a shower every day I'll manage to stay on this side of obsessive. I'm totally stressing out already and its not even down to the last 24 hours. I always put these incredibly unrealistic goals in my mind like I somehow have the power to stretch time. We'll see. I've got two days left and I still need to make a sign for myself and finish up the display details. I realized that I had been making left-handed oven mitts after I took this picture. I'm going to bed.

Cute oven mitts... aren't they all ambidextrous really? Or do yours have some super whamodyne heat protectant on one side?? Am I just not getting the joke that you're so tired from sewing that you didn't realize you could just flip them over? :P
Your stuff is so cute. Loving those oven mitts!

Ooh, I love ticking. And like old feedsack looking cloth. A lady I know made these great bean sacks (like that you toss with at a carnival), and a sack for them to go in out of pretty original feedsacks she found at a garage sale. The bag had this great ribbon for handles. I'm in love with it. Just thought I'd share that. :)
Have I mentioned how fun it is to see your work evolve?
Even lefties need oven mitts!!! *hugs* Keep your chin up, girl...you're doing great!!!
P.S. isn't it nice when you have super support around you? What a godsend to have your Mom around :)
