The weekend

The finished quilt.

The story.
Sebastian was dumping out acorns from the plastic mixing bowl that he loves to play with and swung it at just the right angle with just enough force to bust my eyebrow open while I was lying next to him on the floor. I cried out like a two year old and covered my eye with my hand and tried not to pass out. When I pulled it away I saw blood on my hand so I stood up and walked to the bathroom to check out the damage. Sure enough, I had a superficial cut that didn't need stitches but was swelling quickly. (I watch Grey's Anatomy so I diagnosed myself.) It didn't stop me from running upstairs to get my mother. I felt faint again so I sat down while she got me some ice and then brought me some tape to close my cut. The little man has an arm on him!
This is how bad he felt that he couldn't touch Momma's owie.

This is what I'll be wearing indoors for awhile.

Thanks for reading!

Wow! your already starting to get a shiner. Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you feel better soon. Are you going to put raw meat on your eye?

The quilt is beautiful! :)
Katie tried to break my nose not too long ago, she cracked it very hard with her fake cell phone. It still hurts if anything brushes against it! Feel better :)

beautiful quilt! just wondering.. whats the size of it? about your owie-your mom should have given you a lollipop after bandaging you up. my pediatrician always did that (or gave us these awesome stickers) when i was a kid and i would forget all about whatever ailment brought me in to the doctor's office :) feel better!

You did a fabulous job on the quilt... It's beautiful.

The shiner's pretty cool... You'll look mysterious wearing the shades for a while - gotta love a woman of mystery.

Enjoy your day!

I absolutely LOVE your quilt, one day I will learn how to make one but until then I'll enjoy looking at others hehe.

Sorry about the owie, that's what happens with kids they get all excited and don't know what they are doing until mommy is crying in pain because they just hit them in the face (or pulled your hair too hard), oh the woes of being a mom.

Ouchie... Wear those shades proudly sista!! I got my eyebrow busted wide open a yr ago and had 11 stitches to keep that bad boy shut. I couldn't wear shades though at work... lucky you! xoxo
