Sebastian obviously doesn't understand the 'gain an extra hour of sleep' concept because he's been waking up at obscenely early hours these last two mornings. We kept him up an extra hour thinking that might buy us an hour in the morning like it used to but the boy is the perkiest thing I've ever seen at 5:45 a.m. I doubt even my mother would recognize me with these puffy eyes and bad hair. Thankfully, my lovely husband has taken the boy to get his coffee markout for the week so we can all be civil this morning.
My mom rejoiced a little when the ducks were taken to the duck farm to graze and poop wherever they like other than our backyard. They were starting to loose their down and get their white feathers so the term 'Ugly Duckling' may have been applicable soon. They were sweet and Sebastian loved to check on them and make sure they were staying in their box. He asked where they were when he woke up from his nap yesterday and we took him outside to show him that they had gone 'ByeBye'. He recovers quickly. Here's a little video we shot from a week ago. Its a little long but if you scroll to 1:15, you can watch as I gracefully chase down the ducks.
I've been making some craft tutorial videos for a friend's site that is launching in February and whipped up this scarf for one of them. I'll be posting the tutorial on the Red Velvet Blog later this week. I also did a fun 'point, shoot and hope for the best' self-portrait session. Thanks for reading! Oh, and my new banner includes the fabulous bag that Leigh Anne from Freckled Nest made for me. Check her out, she's got a lot going on over there!

Lovin' the new banner! And, my little loves don't seem to get the extra hour of sleep deal either. Although, I'm not having any 5:45 morning. Blech! Poor you! :0(

LOVE the new banner, love the scarf and that's a great self portrait. And I'm right there with your little one unfortunately on the extra hour of sleep thing. This morning I was wide awake at 5. I'd have understood 6 or 7 maybe but 5?! Hopefully it's just a temporary thing. Can't wait to see the scarf tutorial and you'll have to keep us posted on the tutorial site. Sounds fun! :)
PS: I think I forgot to post here that I did the little self portrait thing that you posted about from your church awhile back. I also spent alot of time on the church website and a forum linked from there I think. If I lived near there I'm sure I'd love it. :)
Your banner is too cute! :)
Loved the little video :)
How absolutely adorable. Your video reminded me of my daughter this weekend at her grandmothers house chasing and trying to catch the dogs. Too cute, don't you just love how fun kids can be lol.
What a fun video. I watched the whole thing and got a kick out of how adorable Sebastian is. Hope he adapts to the time change soon.
That scarf is so fun!
Thanks for posting the video of 'Sebastian: the wandering duckherd!' It had me chuckling while I watched it during my breakfast this morning. I think I might have to watch it with breakfast everyday, so I can start the day with a smile!
Love the new banner! Miss you guys, Sylv x
