Living In Between Boxes

If our computer crashes for the third time before next February for the same reason as the last two times, Apple will replace it. Am I hoping for another crash? Well...

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law's car was hit by lightning as they were driving in a thunderstorm between Arkansas and Missouri.

I've eaten two bags of M&M's this week.

Most of our belongings are in boxes and the pods are coming in two days but we do not have an official apartment to move into. We like to live dangerously.

The RVKC kits have been added to the Etsy store.

I hope all are well.

EDITED: Just to take out some of the semblance of irresponsibility in the above information on our move, we have been waiting to hear back for a specific place for over a month but the application has been stalled for a variety of unusual reasons such as: previous landlords MIA, current apartment managers resigning and new ones starting over a week later, and the original application getting lost and not having that communicated until two weeks after having sent it in. Its a cute little place, though, so we are being patient. We have it on good word that its only a waiting game now and that once the background check goes through, we're in. So, we're hoping that will happen this week. We're showing up in Springfield on Tuesday, regardless. Thanks to many lovely friends, we are more than covered if we need a place to stay in the meantime. (THANKS, Katy, Elsie and Jeremy!)
And my in laws made it out unscathed. The car managed to get home, too.

is your family okay?! (i would assume so, but still -- yikes!)

and area we talking little bags? because two little bags in a week isn't bad at all. and i'm quite certain i could come up with a justification for eating two big bags of m&ms if i need too... i'd just need a wee bit more time...

LOL! We are moving around the exact same time!! Moving from North Carolina and headed back to the West Side! Arizona. ;) Good luck with your move! My honey just got the moving truck today... then he sprained his ankle trying to load it. Fun times.

Hope your family is ok!

Shealynn,
If we see each other on I-44, we'll have to pull over and have a moment.

Things always seem to work out better on the fly, anyway, don't they! Plus, you've got back up! By the way, where did you get the 1 - Pros/Cons List paper for the June kit?! It's awesome! I'd love to get the kit, but I already bought everything Puppy Love from Love, Elsie. I'd love to get the 1 - Pros/Cons List paper to add to what I already have!

abby p,
the pros/cons sheet is from a notepad at Michaels.

Good luck with the apartment, it'll work out! :) And it's totally ok to eat 2 bags of M&M's in one week...chocolate's good for the soul ;)

Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys--I know things have a way of working out (my last move was 5000 miles with a 2 yo and a doberman and no dh) but sometimes you just have to eat the chocolate...guilt free. Can't wait to watch your new adventure unfold (and see all your decorating inspo). Let me know if there's anything you need or if you want to come to VA...Springfield is much closer than you were! ♥Sara

Good luck finding a place. I'm sure you'll find something that works. We lost the duplex we had planned to move into about 2 weeks before we moved to Springfield (and I had my bar exam during those 2 weeks) but we ended up finding a nice rental house that worked even better.
