The Red Velvet Art website is up and looking gorgeous! More items will be added throughout the week leading up to the Grand Opening party on Friday so be sure to check back often.
I spent Sunday in the shop with Elsie, Jeremy and friends getting items tagged, making sure kits had instruction sheets, and generally enjoying the happy atmosphere. We met a ton of cute girls (and some of their significant others), passed out cupcakes, and schemed about what we could realistically finish before the big event this Friday.
My favorite part of the shop is a free standing 3-D tree that Elsie designed to display smaller items. It's gonna have a listening station to showcase local and favorite indie bands. I also love the vinyl floor map, wooden clouds, and the art installation featuring Elsie's latest work.
A few of my favorite things from the website:
'All Dressed Up' by JJ Harrison.
Heart Shaped Sunglasses!
The Yellow Journal
Spring Pillow Kits
'Ta Da' by Pretty Little Thieves
I'm starting in on a stash of embroidery hoops tomorrow. They have been patiently waiting for me to sit down with them but, alas, I had the screen printed pillows to tend to and the canvases to prep, and the monster head bands to finish. It feels so good to see things in the store and online that we've been working on for so long. The sleep deprivation will continue for a few days more as we prepare for Art Walk on Friday but being on this side of the opening has given me a second crafting wind of sorts. If you have any third or fourth winds to spare, my address is...
Be sure to stop by Elsie's blog and tell her how proud you are. She's been working so, so hard on this little dream. She deserves a pink, hard worker, first place ribbon or something.
