In Hiding

Something about a long break made it hard to want to show back up on Monday. It's not something I've felt in awhile so I think it might be related to my physical level of energy and wellness. There has been so much couch camping and ginger pill popping these last few weeks that my regular state of mind has been struggling to function and most things that want to come out of my mouth will either sound like complaining or are 100% about pregnancy. I've been wondering how to make this part of the journey public without this space being saturated in hormones and lists of new cravings.

Thanks for your patience. I think this post broke the ice. I had one of my best energy days today and took my men to Target to find containers for things. I suddenly NEED to organize my kitchen pantry and counter tops. Now our coffees (thanks, Jen!) have their own glass jars with lids, as well as our teas, pastas and cereals. Next up is to mount the wine crates to our bathroom wall before my parents arrive this weekend. Pictures shall be taken and shared. Promise.

hi rachel! i would actually love hearing all about your pregnancy and everything that's going on with you. you should make that a daily part of your blog...i mean it's your blog, you can write about whatever the heck you want. i'm only 23 but i can't wait to be pregnant, i think i was born to be a mum...so i love hearing about that stuff.

ps: you have the cutest little boy. can't wait to see the new little one.

Margot,

That computer is the loaner we borrowed from Elsie while she was away in Italy. It was nice to have for posting class projects but it's so old that it's tricky to type on. Great for watching movies on the couch, though!

Yeah, as long as you are ok. :)

Love to see what you did with the kitchen.

welcome back! and don't feel bad about hiding--i'm sure i'm not the only one who knows how you feel! sometimes it takes so much energy to do what you need to do every day that there is no energy left to document it. just know that when you're ready, we're here!

I'm glad to see you back, but I think it's a great thing that you allowed yourself to take a break.

I love hearing about your pregnancy. And this is your blog, so share as much or as little as you wish.

I too would love to see what you did with your kitchen. I'm sure it's ingenius though.

Missed you and your blogging! :)
I *completely* get the feeling about blogging while you're pregnant, I felt the exact same way when I was pregnant with Colin.
But we would never be bored with you and we love you, so feel free to blog away...even if it's "complaining" :)

Yes I belive they call it nesting.
Don't worry too much about the content of your blog/head. Remember you are producing another human being inside your own body - it would be pretty hard to concentrate on anything else wouldn't it?

i am just coming out of my pregnancy funk and i am 25 weeks today. it just takes a lot out of a girl to grow a baby! i had a long blog hibernation and spring is helping to pull me forward into the next phase... nesting and creating. take care of your mama self and hope you turn the corner soon. xo
