Where Are You Going? Where Have You Been?

Tell me about the places you've gone this summer or the places you're planning to go. I'm fresh back from my big trip and can't imagine having to pack up and go anywhere for awhile but I love a good story. Far away? Down the street? Secret locations that only you and your friends know of?

Oh, do share.

This summer I will go camping! That's about as exciting as the summer vacation is going to get since I don't have any vacation time. Hopefully we'll get a coast camping trip in so I can wake up to the smell of salt water and hopefully a trip up to the Tahoe area so I can wake up to the smell of pine trees and dirt. Yumyum!

Just got back.

Just posted about it!

We were in the Midwest, Pacific Northwest, and in the foothills of the Rockies too!

But now it's time to step away from the computer and get on with the laundry that awaits me...

I live in the Seattle area and have had lots of visitors this summer so we've been doing the toristy stuff - Pike's Place, Bainbridge Island, the Space Needle, touring the library, Dashpoint Beach, Kerry Park, Alki Beach, etc. (I mention these places specifically because I know you used to live here.) It has been fun.

I went home to Michigan for my little brother's high school graduation, and sadly, that's all for me this summer. Hoping to get over to Denver in the autumn. :)

WAYGWHYB is my favorite short story ever!!!

I went camping in Round Spring, Missouri. It was my first trip there. I loved all the beautiful stones in Sinking Creek. I found one really cool one that looked like a lasagna noodle. And listening to the coyotes late at night was pretty eerie. It was a very magical place.

I just found out my boy is taking me to Cape May!
I didn't think I would get to go to the beach at all this summer, so this is a HUGE happy surprise :)
Yay for surprises!

I'm going on a little mountain vacation next week. We're hiking to waterfalls, eating at pancake houses and hitting lots of appalachian craft shops. It's going to be the perfect little break to homework and laundry. In October, we're driving down to Hilton Head Island to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The place I'm dying to go is Colorado. We're planning a roadtrip across the midwest out to Colorado for next summer. I can't wait. It looks so beautiful in pictures!

I love your blog and this suitcase! We have a tattered one like it in my grandma's dress up box. My grandma's house in Washington state is where I am now and for (mostly) the rest of the summer. We travelled from home in Dubai to music camp in Ohio for me.

Lots of free time and crafting and learning for July!

I'll be going to the beach this September to celebrate my 10 year wedding anniversary. We're going to be taking a dinner cruise one night (hopefully). I'm looking forward to just getting away with my husband. We're also planning a few camping trips here and there.

BTW camping at the beach is AWESOME !!!! The sound of the waves all night long....well let's just say it's soothing and romantic ;-).

I'm very blessed as I never stop going!

I travel for a living so I spend a good deal of my weeks in Boston.

I got to travel to DC with my friends. I also got to go to Tennessee Camping - where I must say people are fantastically friendly and mostiqutoes are HUGE.
This weekend I'm going on a trip to Maine all by myself which I'm hoping proves to be as fabulous as I think it will be. I also am planning to go to Eagle Harbor Michigan - One of my favorite places, and the Iowa State Fair because why would you not want to go there.

we've been to lafayette, indiana (where i grew up), cedar rapids, iowa, devil's lake, wisconsin, columbus, ohio, and omaha, nebraska....so far. many more trips ahead, i'm sure. my theory is, leaving the things in the suitcase clean...then when you want to go, you can.

Sadly, we're not going anywhere this year. Right now I'm 33 weeks pregnant and my daughter was born at 36 weeks, so we've been keeping pretty cautious and staying close to home *just in case*. Which I'm sure will mean this sucker waits forever and is two weeks late.

My husband and I did make a trip to New Haven, CT to visit some friends at the end of May, which we considered our final outing. Chef's Emporium, bookstores and a whole afternoon at Ikea? Yes, please. That's vacation enough for me!

my friends and i drove 200 miles to go to SONIC in upstate new york (the closest one to boston). we had a great time. went to sonic three times and hit five antique stores. it was a fun road trip.

I have quit my non-creative job of 6 1/2 years to travel and PAINT and sew and be creative! Finishing up home and personal projects while finding that perfect person(s) to rent out my house to... before heading EAST. Planning to stop by Springfield to check out RVA ;) and then we plan to start at the top and work our way done the coast. My boyfriend is interested in checking out Vermont and I'm wanting to check out North Carolina. But something in between might just caught our eye and we end up living somewhere else for awhile. We are calling this our EAST Coast Tour. We might do a West Coast Tour when we are done, if everything works out that way.

btw. Not much to look at on my blog yet. I just started it for the trip, but decided to post on it yesterday. So, Rachel, if you happen to look at it.. Yes. The painting does resemble yours. I just loved your cloud painting.

My hubby and I are going with our 18 month old to the beach later this month and then off to Seattle next month. What could be better than one vacation full of rest then another with nothing but touristy stuff?

Your suitcase reminds me of one I had as a child. The one I would pack up to go the 3 miles to stay at my grandmother's house. Those were some fantastic vacations for me. And I didn't need to go far. Just being near my grandma was a vacation. Just being with her without my sisters tagging along, Swinging on the weeping willow tree, Ice Cream from her freezer on the bottom refrigerator, letting me wear my favorite blue sundress for a week straight(washing it while i slept)... How I miss her.

I just moved from KC to a little bitty town south of Manhattan, KS. There are all sorts of quirky towns surrounding us...so far we have gone to 2 and i'm hoping to go to them all before the summer ends. We've had some of the best food and met some of the nicest people so far!

Hope you can get some rest now after all your traveling!

We live in Orlando so visiting the Disney parks is a quick and easy escape from reality for us. I posted a ton of pictures from our 4th of July in Epcot on my blog!

But this Summer we are also planning a few beach trips, a trip to Jacksonville to visit good friends and just a lot of day trips to enjoy Florida :)

My husband and I were planning on going to the Grand Canyon but we had to postpone it until next summer because I got a job that required me to start right away.
Instead, this summer we are going to be enjoying the new house we are renting that comes with 7 acres of land on the waterfront!

Well... this Friday my fiance and I will be heading to Eureka Springs, Arkansas to get married. On our way down though he is taking me to the RVA shop!! I can't wait. My list keeps growing of the things I want to buy.

After our wedding on Saturday we are heading to San Antonio for the week. Looking at the weather there this week makes me wonder if we should be heading somewhere else. HOT!!

XOXO

i visited Canada in May/June to hang out with one of the most super special people i know. We hung out in Toronto, i got a new tattoo, we saw some bands, we shopped, she put up with my need to go into every scrapbook/art/craft shop we came accross, we watched films, we took tons of pictures & i met her friends and family, we went to Niagara & we laughed and talked, which was a gift because i live in the UK & there's usually a whole ocean between us.

Welcome back!

I'll be heading with my family and the boyfriends to Yosemite for a week in August to celebrate my mom's birthday. We go every year and look forward to a week of bicycling, hiking, ice cream, swimming, and reading. Recently, I added scrapping to that list, but its pretty limited due to space. I can't wait!

Seeing as I dream probably 95% of my waking hours of every day about where I'm going to go/move next, this post is super fun. But I'm doing lots of school and working this summer so that's pretty lame. I was planning a trip back to Morocco to visit friends but that fell through so that's even MORE lame! However, I did manage a week long trip to the east coast to see my brother and his family and that was a blast, of course.
