Love Notes - The Break Up

We were a long distance couple that had been dating for around nine months when a routine late night phone call turned into a few jealous comments that turned into one of those 'Well maybe we just shouldn't be together anymore' statements. I'm not sure who hung up on who but I sat on my parent's couch crying and slightly shocked. I had never been dumped before.

Twenty minutes later the phone rings and it's him. He's sorry. He didn't mean it. We're still a couple, right?

We ended the second conversation having decided to try again but something had shifted and three months later, after traveling halfway across the world to stay with my family for a short visit, we had another hard talk. It just wasn't working out.

A year and a half later, I laid eyes on Brett.

xoxo,

Rachel

(I couldn't finish without a happy ending.)

That's pretty much exactly how my first relationship was! It was terrible at the time but something better always comes along! :)

what a great story!! I have a crazy story too about a guy I LOVED but had he never been such a flake I literally would have not met my husband the moment I did. Love this series!

awwwww. That's so lovely.
Nothing beats crying on your mum's couch..even when it's sad and feels like the worst day. Something so comforting about it.
