Love Notes - Victoria Hearts Cooper

This is a story of a different kind of puppy love. I found my sweet, wonderful dog Cooper on craigslist when he was three years old. A sweet mutt, and one of the best things that ever happened to me – I rescued him and he rescued me. We'd been together six years, when he passed away one evening very suddenly, from a seizure, after one of our usual, nightly romps in the park. I loved him so dearly and had never felt such a terrible loss. There’s still a big hole in me where he used to be, and I can’t believe he isn’t here. But when I look at this beautiful, shining happy smile, I remember the good times, and that he was very, very special and loved by many people. Most of all, by me. I love you, Coop. Always, always will.

maybe it's the pms talking, or the fact it's almost valentines day, but these love posts are getting to me. Oh, did I say I've been in a crazy mess of blizzard after blizzard home bound and missing my husband.

Anyway, I love hearing the stories, I too am madly in love with my husband. After a long hard life, I've finally found that happily ever after and for that I'm truly thanking the good Lord above!

I'm crying too.

20 years ago on Valentine's Day our dog passed away. I was only 10 years old and that dog was like a big sister to me since she had been there all my life. I still miss her.

This one hits close to home for meand breaks my heart, but in a 'bittersweetly' happy way. To have loved a dog like causes your heart to burst with joy.

I am so sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine. Always know that Cooper is looking after you somewhere...now if you'll excuse me, I have to find a tissue.

oh, such a sweet little face, so sorry for your loss. They do become our babies that's for sure. I had my puppy escape from a friend's yard over Xmas and yeah, it's an awful loss. hugs!

OMG, I cried reading this. I lost my dog after 13 wonderful years, and she saved my life. I have always battled depression and when I was going through a slump she was the reason I got out of bed, because I had to for her. The love of a dog/own is unlike any other love.
Thank you for sharing.
