What We Do When Daddy Is Gone

We went to Target Friday night to keep ourselves from missing Brett and just happened upon this beautiful Liberty of London quilt. The next thing I knew, it was on my bed at home. It's one of the prettiest prints I've ever seen and I still feel lucky to have snagged one since I'm sure they'll be flying off the shelves this week. Ruby seems to like it as much as I do.

I did show SOME restraint while walking through the aisles. I put back the Liberty of London picture frame, the organizer, and the pillow with the velvet on the back. Shame on them for knowing how to put together the perfect combination of colors in the sweetest prints and then debuting them the one weekend my husband is out of town.

Have you managed to snag something? I think I love this line even more than I loved the Orla Kiely line.

xoxo,

Rachel

  1. I love that quilt!! oh ive been saving my pennies for this...I snagged a lampshade, a planter, gardening gloves, a leaf bag for outdoors tht I plan to use as a toy hamper for my girls, the girls easter dresses and a pillow. I am hitting up a different target tonight in hopes of finding a tote and a scarf...I may have gone a little overboard:)

  4. This weekend I snagged some vintage {1940} iron on transfers...There were 4 packages of them and a lady got to them before I did but I heard her telling her friend she wasn't sure she wanted to get all four...so I did what any desperately interested gal would do...I followed her! {My family has confirmation of my insanity now}...I scored 2 of the four packages...YAY!
Love the floral print! The colours are so saturated and beautiful :)
Ruby is growing so quickly. xx

  6. OMG! Words cannot express my love for that print. I WANT!! Too bad the nearest Target is probably a 24 hour drive and border crossing away from me...if not further.

  7. I think the print of that quilt is the background of my phone!

Target has some of their prints free to download as desktop wallpaper or phone wallpaper!

Here's the website, it's under "Pattern Your World"

  8. I took a look at the dresses yesterday but wouldn't let myself try them on or even go near the decor section. I will be going back very soon though.

    Great quilt!

  10. Rachel! I want that quilt but neither of the boys that live here would allow it. I did, however, buy 3 dresses from the girls' section! The women's dresses weren't my style but the XL girls fits me and they are so cute and summery and COTTON not acrylic! I also got the cute little sunflower duffel bag. Did I mention my husband is out of town, too? :0
Love the photos of your little lady. xoxo S

  12. ha! Funny you mention this, my friend sent me a link showing that they were DEBUTING this line this weekend--while I still had a few more days to go. She knew my anticipation, and just wanted to tease me :)

  14. I grabbed up 2 of their one piece denim-ish rompers for my girls...SO cute! Mommy is going to do some shopping for Mommy tomorrow morning ; )

Love your sweetie on that blankie*!*

  15. I did! I got one of the tea cups with the brighter 60's-ish print on it. SO beautiful. I tried one of the tops on on the same print, but it had this frilly shoulder top thing and it looked way too heavy. BEAUTIFUL line!

  16. I am so jealous! My target did not even offer that quilt. I looked for it at the 2 other Targets near my area.

I did take home quite a bit of stuff, though!

  18. I almost bought the canisters for my kitchen yesterday! We were in a hurry and I didn't have much time so I left them and told myself I'd go back for them. I hope they are still there when I go back! The line is adorable!

  19. Can't believe it, but last night online (before midnight) I somehow snagged one of the bicycles, not the pink floral one but the paisley one. I am beside myself waiting for it to hopefully arrive this week!

  20. I have to agree with you! I went to Target this morning and the fashionistas were swarming the clothing racks! This is hands down the best collaboration yet! I got a cute tunic, scarf, clipboard, candles...I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things...my bag was full! I don't think these things are going to last long. Love your quilt!! I came very close to snagging one of those adorable pillows with the velvet back too. Hope this is not the last we see of this!

  21. I have to behave & stay away from Target (no restraint)...for budgetary reasons but my sister called me raving about it today. This quilt is awesome. Your Ruby is also adorable with her little tongue out:P

  22. Just got home from Target.... bought the lamp shade, 2 couch pillows and a picture frame. It took me 2 hours to decide what to choose. Easily could have purchased it ALL, the prints are to die for. Saw the quilts.... perfection. :) -J

  23. Did they have the kitchen and accessories stuff out Friday? Because I couldn't find any today! That quilt was long gone, and I couldn't find the duvet sets either (just the comforter sets).
I did end up getting the swim top in that print, as well as the gorg silky pillow in the same print (most unnecessary $19.99 ever but....geez it's so pretty), and one of the larger organizer bins.
But seriously, I hate our Target! Sunday means Sunday, not Friday. :( (though I'm happy you had a good find)

  24. I might be heading up to Target right now after seeing this to snatch up the organizer.

  26. So fabulous! And the quilt is great too ;)

I passed on the quilt but took home some storage boxes, a pillow, bathing suit, toddler romper, and picture frames. Can you tell I was stashing cash?

Unfortunately, my target didn't have any kitchen goodies so I'll be heading out to the other one tomorrow morning to hopefully see those and the other goodies you mentioned. You never know what might happen if something catchesy eye...

Oh! Has anyone seen the bike??

  39. I did THE EXACT same thing. :) Glad I am not alone in my splurging while the husband was gone. There was too much to choose from; home decor, toddler dresses, headbands, i also restrained and put back the pillow with the velvet on back. haha. But i did spend my whole wad on Liberty for London.....

  40. Love, love, LOVE the Liberty of London line. The velvet backed pillow is just beautiful! But it won't go with anything in the house :( The Liberty of London children's line is just so adorable I am hoping to snag something up if it ever goes on clearence and next time I'm in Target I'm getting a scarf, whatever the price!
