You may or may not have been here a year and a half ago when our friends, the Shattos, were finally able to fly to Ethiopia and bring home their son, D. He and Sebastian are train buddies now and it's been really special to see how much love and joy he's brought to their lives. I can't imagine their family without him.
They are in the process of adopting a brother and sister from the same orphanage in Ethiopia and if you're local to Springfield you can help. Firehouse Pottery is having a fundraiser this Saturday, April 17th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. where you can come and make something pretty and know that all proceeds are going directly towards helping Katy and Adam finalize these adoptions. I'll be there with my kids and I'd love to visit with anyone that comes in.Firehouse Pottery is located at 4150 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, Mo. I hope to see a few of you there!

wonderful story! I had a good friend who was adopted from Mali and his parents went back and found his actual brother and adopted him:)
What an awesome opportunity to contribute! Do you know if we need to call ahead and reserve a spot or just show up? Haven't been there in awhile...thinking my 4 yr old and I could use a date night ;)
