She Showed Up Five Months Ago




She laughs now. She reaches for her daddy and pulls her brother's hair. She makes coughing sounds to get my attention and then smiles when I look. She grabs at my glass and gums my food and has started feeling stranger anxiety. She just got her first Easter basket and took her first swim. So many new moments to remember and celebrate before they become routine.

    oh, how that darling little face with THOSE EYES! makes me want another. and another. and another. but alas, three is enough. i think...
