These Days...

I've noticed our daily rhythm shifting with the change in weather. Less time inside and more time outside.

Less time cleaning or crafting and more time digging, planting, and playing.

More moments of three rather than moments of two with one napping.

More teaching moments, more boundaries expanding, more wills being tested, and more curiosity being formed.

Have you noticed any shifts in your rhythm lately? Do you find yourself spending less time online and more time outside? If not, have you noticed a difference in others?

xoxo,
Rachel

i still love and adore my blog and online friends, and creating and sharing and being inspired byt everything here. however, i am making a big effort not to miss all of the little moments that happen in and around my house.

Such lovely words!

I have noticed that my life seems much more balanced recently. I cannot explain it. Perhaps it is because my daughter is finally over all of the ear infections. Oh, and I started exercising again. That must help.

Definitely more outside time. For me that means doing my daily reading or word-puzzle-solving is done on my porch swing or in my bentwood rocker (found on the side of the street!) sitting in the sun.

I need the fresh air and the sun. It makes me calm. I've missed it.

yes yes yes ... that is totally us, too. it's so incredibly nice to finally be outside enjoying the sunshine and after last winter, I've vowed not to take warm sunny days for granted. (glad you guys are enjoying it too!)

we've been outside for almost the entire morning, every morning it's not raining. Then, after naptime, it's quickly dinner and rush out again for another few hours
My kids have never slept so hard!
(And I've never gotten so much reading time to myself!)

Over the last month, my house has become an absolute mess. Every day I rush home from work and can't wait to get outside. This is really the best time of year -it makes us forget all of our to-do lists :)

'shift in rhythm'! I couldn't figure out how to put it & you put it simply & perfectly! I do home child care & we are outside 8-11, & 3-5 almost every day now that we can be (minus today due to rain) makes me want to box up most of our inside toys & hide them LOL

I absolutely adore your blog & how you keep it all so real!!

My Ella and your Ruby are the same age (just a day apart -Ella was born Nov 6) and I too am enjoying more play and exploration time, and am especially happy that it is coinciding with my favorite season. I think the park calls to us in our sleep, because no matter what I find us there every day! :)

We are loving the out doors right now! Have you read a book called Your Life in Rhythm?? It's by Bruce Miller and it talks all about the ebbs and flows of life! Great easy read!! You should check it out for some porch reading!!
