True 50s style, gorgeous white gold with the diamond in a thick square setting. I could never ever pick a ring I love more. (It also so happens to be the only piece of jewelry I wear!)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is a ring my great great great Aunt Mary gave to me when she passed. I always admired it and she told me the story of how she got it. It was so special, and beautiful! It's a long diamond shaped onyx with a white gold setting in the middle that holds a diamond. The side are white gold filigree. It's beautiful!

ReplyDeleteCute cute stuff! So, my favorite piece of jewelry is a delicate horseshoe necklace from Tiffany's. When I married my husband, I had bought a little CZ horseshoe necklace a la Carrie Bradshaw as my wedding jewelry. About a year and a half into our marriage I somehow lost it and I was so distraught. I really loved that necklace. It's the one thing I ALWAYS wear other than my ring. Anyhoo, long story short, my husband, in a grand gesture, saw a diamond horseshoe necklace at Tiffany's just like my old one and bought it for my birthday this year. Huge deal. I even cried a little.

Meme always wore really unique and eye-catching jewelry and I remember staring at the owl necklace as a kid. She taught me so much about who I am now, such as my love for garage sale-ing and all things crafty, and though she recently passed away, I love that I still have a little piece of Meme. :)

ReplyDeleteI almost feel guilty about not putting my wedding ring, but here goes...my favorite piece of jewelry is a piece that I don't own anymore. For my birthday two years before we got married, my husband bought me a beautiful, simple heart necklace. It was so small and delicate with two interlocking hearts with a teensy tiny diamond where they interlocked. It wasn't extravagant or expensive, but that sweet guy saved up and really put thought into picking it out. I wore that necklace every single day. On our wedding day, I had devastating. I still haven't found a necklace that comes close to being so simple and beautiful.

My faveorite piece of jewlry I owned was the pink stone ring my grandmother bought me in fourth grade. I loved that ring, it was the first piece of real jewlry I had ever owned. I remember being so very careful not to loose it or get it dirty. I loved the way it would sparkel in the sun, it was just so preety. My teacher at the time even comented on it, and of corse my friends were jealous. As much as I loved that ring in sixth grade I acdienatly left it on the sink in a public bathroom while on a feild trip. I never got it back. I still look for a ring simalr when I shop for jewlry in hopes that I can once again enjoy the pretty pink stone ring. But it's proably better left in my school day memories :)

She says when I have a daughter and she gets older my mom will give her hers, and then I do the same with my granddaughter and so on. I love that!

On the inside are also Runes engraved that support a happy, healthy, long, marriage. I had it made because I wanted something that was special to only us. Thanks for hosting this giveaway. ReplyDeleteUhm I would have to say that a pearl necklace my mom gave me when I turned 21. It is so beautiful. I also love this three thin gold bangles my mom gave me for my 18th birthday. It is a family tradition we have. When my mom turned 18 she got 3, so did my sister and then I got three! The cool thing is that I got one from my mom's set, one from my sis's set and one from my own set.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite is a black onyx and pearl Cameo necklace that was gifted to me shortly before my wedding by a dear lady from my church. I wore it in my wedding and it's definitely a treasure to me. A few years later this lady passed away and I planned her funeral (A true celebration of life complete with a band and all)...and of course I wore my beloved necklace to her funeral as well.

ReplyDeletesuch lovely jewelery!! aside from my wedding band (of course), my favorite piece of "jewelery" is my great grandmother's red glass rosary which i was fortunate to inherit when she passed away. she prayed her rosary EVERY DAY, multiple times a day. the faceted beads are now worn smooth from all the years of her fingers passing over them. although i don't wear the piece, it is pretty much the most meaningful article in my jewelery box :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of jewelry is the purity ring my parents gave me when I was younger. It is a choice I made on my own, not one that was forced onto me. It's the only thing that I wear every day, and I feel naked without it. I can't wait to give it to my future husband on my wedding day. It sounds a bit cheesy, I know, but it's special to me.

ReplyDeleteAn old 1930's/40's/50's brass locket that i found in a charity shop (thrift store), it had black and white photos of a war time couple in it, so sweet. I'm looking for a picture of me and my boyfriend so i continue the love :)
ReplyDeleteI have two pieces of jewelry that are my favorite! One is a wishbone necklace that I got from my oldest sister years and years ago when I graduated high school. Probably the only necklace I will ever really wear. Also, I have a pair of silver paper crane earring with a hoop around them. They were a fantastic thrift store find and I always get compliments when I wear them. :)

I have a simple silver ring that I wear almost everyday. it's one wide band but there are cut outs that make it look like 5 rings. it's my favorite.

I'm not much of a jewelry/accessory person, which is truly unfortunate! I like them even though they're fake. Pearls are timeless. They make me feel classy and elegant even if i'm wearing a tshirt and old jeans. :)

ReplyDeleteMine is a tie between my beautiful engagement ring (white gold with a pearl in a tension setting) which my husband picked out for me and is so special because it's made with all recycled materials and a baby ring from my grandma. The ring has the initials "EE" engraved on it because her name was Elsie Emma and mine is Erin Elizabeth. One day I hope to have a granddaughter with a double-E name that I can pass the ring on to.

Other than my wedding ring, My favorite thing is a small round locket with opal and blue gemstones that used to be my Mom's.

ReplyDeleteI love my engagement ring. My fiancé totally surprised me when he proposed. The ring belonged to his step-mother's mother, so its a bit of an heirloom. He was told it was "on loan" until he could buy me one of my own, but I love it so much I don't a different ring!
