Candace makes the most lovely of things. She shares my attraction to the soft hues and bold patterns that vintage sheets offer so when she posted this little quilt for sale, so perfect in it's color palette and size, I pounced.
Ruby rolled around on it for awhile and seemed to give her stamp of approval. Thank you, Candace, for knowing how to make such lovely things. You can see a few more lovely things in her SparklePower shop here.

Lovely! The colors are great.
Oh Rachel! Thank you! I'm so happy it went to your house...such a perfect fit for it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to make myself a matching one & hope that one day I can wrap another baby in it. :)
P.S. Been meaning to comment on the video of you & Elsie... I love your voice! love it!
I love it! I have a question about crafting with vintage linens...how do you get the funky smell out? I've got a stash of beautiful sheets that I can't wait to cut into, but not matter how much I wash them, I can't seem to get that thrift store smell out of them. Is there something special that you use on your vintage sheets to get them smelling new and clean?
Margaret
Margaret,
I wash them with baking soda and white vinegar to get the smell out. Usually within two washes for the worst sheets, it works. Good luck!
Ooooohh, I love it! And the one you made for your beach vacation is so fabulous!! I'm itching to make one now! I absolutely loved all the pics of your vacay!
wow-beautiful!!
A Ha! I'm going to give it a try!! Thanks!!
