Giveaway Day - Gussy

"Hello! My name is Gussy and I design a sew a shop full of ruffled accessories. Inside my shop (www.shopgussy.com) you'll find zipped pouches, laptop, tote/diaper bags -- even headbands with ruffles. The best part of sewing is that I'm living my dream. About 7 weeks ago I quit my day job to work on Gussy full time. Talk about LOVING what I do :)"

here in louisiana we have little shacks built on the side of the road aka snowball stands! That is how I like to cool off! its very thinly shaved ice that melts instantly in your mouth! Favorite flavor: wedding cake with condensed milk on top! stuff the center with a little vanilla ice cream and I am good to go!

I like to ride my bike quickly enough so that the wind cools me down & just when I get warm from the exertion, I stop for frozen yogurt. Yum!

Um, since I'm not by a pool or by the beach, favorite way to cool off is spray bottle and fan! I know sounds lame, but it works! Of course popsicles do the trick as well!

when I'm absolutely so hot I can't stand it..and am stuck inside somewhere, I run both wrists under the coldest tap water I can get it to be - and hold them there as long as I can..... (they say within 30 seconds, all the blood in your body goes through those veins in your wrists as it circulates).... and somehow - I end up feeling much better - cooler and composed enough to keep going.

I know this sounds a bit lame, but my favorite way to cool off is to sit in my knitting chair while the hubby and I watch a good movie. We spend a lot of time outside gardening, so to sit inside is a great treat.

My favorite way to cool off in the summer is by making fresh strawberry lemonade and lounging by the pool in my favorite vintage swim suit! It really helps keep your mind off the heat when your family and friends are there too!

To cool off in the summer, I like to lay on my bed with the fan pointed right at me. I often wet a washcloth and cover my face with it. (There isn't any AC in the apartment.)

I love Gussy bags! Lately my favorite way to cool off is with a gin and tonic with my husband on the porch after our kids are in bed.

Since I don't have access to a pool, my favorite way to cool off is with an egg custard snowball with marshmallow fluff, not to be confused with a snowcone! :)

My favorite way to cool off is a ride on our John Deere Gator. it's kind of like a four wheeler, but even better! I take the kids on long rides through our land & woods - it's too much FUN!

Now that I have children, it's acceptable to hang out at the City wading pools :) I love to cool off while my toddler plays in the water with his various buckets and scoops and the baby splashes and giggles.

Definitely a trip to the pool! However, this summer we are moving and renovating so we have resorted to the sprinkler time and time again. Sweet tea does the trick sometimes too :)

Without a pool and being too old to run through a sprinker, I like to hop on our motorcycle with my dreamy husband and ride around. in addition to cooling off, it provides a nice tan :)
