901st Post! Or Road Trip Day!

IndieRocket's Flickr feed feels like perpetual summertime to me. She uses film and captures those candid moments with friends that make me want to host a backyard party and those quiet spots on the street that remind me to really look at things. She's also got great taste that she shares daily on her design blog, Design Is Mine.

I'm trying really hard not to rush through August and waste the end of summer in anticipation of school starting for both of my boys. Summer's flickr feed reminded me to enjoy every last drop.

Have you already started out processing summertime?

xoxo,
Rachel

p.s. Happy 901st post to Smile And Wave!

Summer is nearly over here because the school year begins on August 16th... I go back to work next Wednesday! So sad. Not nearly enough time off for me or my 7th grader. So happy to have found your blog. And congrats on 901 posts! Hope I can hang in as long...

I'm trying really hard not to, although it's hard when you see all the fall items already on store shelves.

wow! 901 posts - that's quite the milestone!!
I'm trying to savour every moment of summer - we've been blessed with amazing weather this year so thinking of anything autumn is not allowed! : )

No way. It is still unseasonable hot here on the East Coast, so i still think that it is mid-July.

Wow, 901 posts! Congratulations Rachel!!!

It's Winter in Australia for me at the moment, and I have certainly begun processing it out. We tend to swing from Winter straight into Summer in September and the cool weather doesn't return until May. It doesn't snow in Australia except in the mountain ranges in the south, but it is still cold...and has been unseasonably so for us this year. The days are becoming a little warmer, but it is still freezing in the mornings. I have been thankful for my new woollen coat this Winter.

I tell you, I am absolutely dying to get my arms into some short-sleeved tops and pretty dresses, make some cute new clothes for my little girl, and head off down the road to the beach with my boys. I need some warmth to thaw out my fingers and toes!

Happy waiting till Brett comes home. Not long to go now! Yay!

I'm enjoying the cooler nights of August, and TRYING not to rush through these last 3 weeks before school... even though there's so much left on our "to do" list, I want to stop and cherish these last few days of " the summer they were 5 and 6".

I'm still waiting for summertime! Lots of rain and fog with barely any peeks of sunshine over here.
