I love the crisp fall air, but it only lasts about two weeks where the weather is perfection, so I vote for summer! It's the most active, when I feel the most alive, and you can travel, be outdoors, even eat outdoors. Love it!

Right now I am craving fall! Although we only get a month or so of true "fall" weather here in the desert it is heaven after a long hot summer to finally have cooler nights where I can sport a scarf (even if we are still wearing flip flops!)

Once upon a time, I was in love with summer. Nowadays, the older I get, I find my love has become the crisp beautiful fall, with magnificent colors, blue skies and wonderful smells of burning fires.

I love fall and spring. God has truly blessed us with perfect timing of seasons- just when I don't think I could take another day of snow and shivering- it's spring and I don't need a jacket outside. And, after a long, hot summer, I am so ready to add another blanket on the bed in the fall.

It's dusty old books and china tea cups filled with Lady Grey and finger sandwiches. It's big wishes and crazy huge dreams. It's Agatha Christie novels and 'who dun it'. It's 4 hours of monopoly and "how do you play cribbage again?" It's slow cooked meals and everything with carrots. It's find the other wooly glove and buy a fab new scarf. It's pyjamas with feet and flannel sheets. It's hot moist gingerbread with lashings of butter. It's a hot water bottle and a book of love poems. It's gold and brown and red and orange. It's Autumn!
