I am so happy to be here at Smile and Wave again this month. I run the reworked art blog to keep me inspired to make things and find beautiful things out in the wide crafting world. It's great motivation for me to get creating when I know I can post it and share it with other people.
I also have a little shop to sell some of the jewelry I make on etsy and hope to some day spread my wings and sell other things I make as well. I hope you will stop in and visit my shop and blog and see if anything catches your eye!
The winner can choose one of my vintage style beaded necklaces or your choice of two pairs of earrings from my shop! Also, all Smile and Wave readers can get 20% off their order for the month of October if you mention Smile and Wave in your notes to the seller.
To enter this giveaway, leave your favorite Fall memory in the comments below. Winner will be drawn Monday!

Rachel

My favorite fall memory would have to be...last year about this time I met my dear friend Ryan who has made my life so much brighter! It's an unrequited love as far as I know but he makes me happy just being around him!
It's really hard for me to pick a favorite fall memory, but I have had some really awesome birthday celebrations over the years in this season.
Lovely! Favorite fall memory is when we my grandfather came to visit us for the first time when we had moved to Montana. I was really bummed that no one was gonna be with us that Thanksgiving but he came!! I was so stinkin' happy. :)
my favorite fall memory is when my family and i used to carve pumpkins every Halloween. sounds really generic because everyone does that haha but it was always a random time of the year where we all just had a lot of fun no matter what was going on in life and it never left me disappointed. :)
I remember having to rake leaves .. omigosh we had so many trees! My sister and I would always play in the big piles!
Thanks!

my favorite fall memory is hard to pick because i have so many. I think it would have to be when my aunt, brother, and I went to Callaway Gardens in Georgia and stumbled upon their fall festival. Totally wansnt planned. We enjoyed things from the general store, pumpkin painting, corn mazes, and a fall picnic! It was a day to be remembered!
My favorite fall memory is walking home from kindergarten in the crunching leaves. The sound, the texture and the smell of the leaves. Love it!
Autumn walks with my husband through crunchy leaves back when we were still dating.
My favorite fall memory is playing in a huge pile of leaves with all my siblings and cousins and getting in trouble with our Grandma about 8 years ago. Those were some good times.

I love starting to wear scarves again. Except it's still in the high 80s here, so no scarves yet!
My favorite fall memory is driving to Amish country and seeing the beautiful scenery. The trees were brilliant colors and the crisp air coming in the car windows was so invigorating. And we always stopped at the orchard for a glass of cider.
Right now my favorite Fall memory is from just last year. I was taking a visual design class and we had to bring in leaves and stuff that we'd found, for a project. One rainy day after my daughter got home from school, we went out in the neighborhood looking for the most beautiful Fall leaves we could find. Just the other day, we were talking about how much we loved that.

My favorite fall memory is of when my Mom and I used to make window decorations out of fall leaves and wax paper. My younger brother and sister and I would rake all the leaves in the backyard into a figure eight race track and then race around it on our bikes for hours. The best part was crashing! :)
fall is the best season for falling in love, and the best season for cuddling up with a fresh book from the library and something great-smelling to drink or eat. i don't have one particular favorite memory from this season, just a mash of accumulated loveliness. best season ever...and beautiful jewelery, too!
i loved trick or treating when i was little...getting home with my brother and friends to compare candy and do some trading.
jumping in leaves after my parents raked the front yard.

When we were kids, my brother and sisters and I would play our "catching money" game. You had to catch as many blowing leaves as possible. So much fun! I realize now it must have been entertaining for our mom too, all of us running in crazy circles, looking up, with our arms out-stretched!
That one year I made apple pie for the first time in the basement of my college dorm. That was over 5 years ago, but we went apple picking and baked the afternoon away.
Unlike most people I mourn the passing of summer each fall, but hugely look forward to winter and the Holidays. That said, I really enjoyed apple picking with my family as a kid. I loved the hay rides, hot apple cider, and eating so many apples my belly felt like it would rupture.
My favorite fall memory is picking apples with my mom and brothers and canning apple sauce and butter.

I love to remember the childhood trips to our local apple orchard and eating honey sticks of all flavors.
My favourite fall memory is going to the beach with my fam. The Monarch butterflies were migrating so they were EVERYWHERE. Also someone took the dog of his leash and he suddenly has this burst of energy and ran, like with dust flying, away... then he got to the end of trail turned around and look at us like "hmmmm, that wasn't a great plan"
one of my favorite Fall memories is when my husband and I went Horseback riding through mountain trails during our honeymoon.
As a kid, we didn't live in much of a neighborhood, so we didn't trick-or-treat. Instead, my mom would put together a bunch of fall games, invite a bunch of friends over and we'd dress up and eat candy together.

I got married in the fall!! so hard to believe that was 5 years ago!
I began dating my high school boyfriend in October of 2001. He's dead now, after a suicide in 2005 - but the times we spent together that fall have kept me going every fall since then. Drinking hot chocolate, passing out candy to trick-or-treaters, exploring the woods near our hometown... Fall will always remind me of him.

10 years ago I was a sophomore in college. I used to browse our university bookstore after class sometimes and look at their cute housewares section. I had told my roommates about a cute acorn salt and pepper shaker at the start of September and I was shocked when they remembered it and went and bought it for my birthday in November. We were poor and it was so entirely thoughtful.
I guess it's a great gift if it still warms my heart 10 years later.
