My Favorite Vintage Chalkboard

My Favorite Vintage Chalkboard
It doesn't have any holes for hanging nor is it thick enough to nail hooks into so it's been leaning against a wall for awhile. I'm hoping to hang it up somehow when Ruby has her own space because it's a beauty. I found it over a year ago at an old warehouse looking estate sale. I think they gave it to me for $3 or something fantastic.

Today is for getting over a cold, finishing up some work in the new RVA shop, catching up on laundry, and making more chili for dinner! Easy AND delicious. What does your Wednesday look like?

xoxo,
Rachel

These things work great! They're even holding up a mirror at my house! It would be perfect for this too because you can take it off and connect it back to the wall easily. They're renter friendly too.

Have you tried velcro? (as a photographer) I use it all the time to hang picture frames it really works at holding them, makes it easy to quick change things around and doesn't damage your walls

I have a couple of little chalkboards that I am looking to hang too. Let us know what you come up with. For me today is for organizing my kids dresser drawers and closets and making room for baby#3 which is arriving 5 weeks from today. Nesting is awesome :-)

Hi, Melissa here!!! Hope ya feel better soon! The chalk board is awesome... funny I should stumble across it, b/c my child was playing with one at my grandmothers that was very similar , however it had a nursery rhyme theme bordering the edges. Interesting!

I love it! I think I had the same exact one when I was a kid. Another good idea to hold it... how about one of those wire plate hangers people use to display their dishes on the wall?

Lowe's has velcro for just this kind of thing.

At my Lowe's in St. Louis it is in the aisle where all the spray paint is. Hope this helps.

We're doing chili for supper today too! We've got winter storm weather, and it'll be perfect.
Enjoy your day!

You should try the 3M Command picture hanging strips. I use them because I'm in an apartment and I don't want to destroy the walls and they are fantastic :)

The 3M strips are great. You can pick them up just about anywhere and use however many you need depending on how heavy your chalkboard is. I've used them in both my kids rooms!

3M picture hanging strips are amazing. We use them to hang all our frames, etc. Um, my Wednesday is pretty relaxing....hubby & my oldest have church activities to go to tonight. I'll be curled up on the couch with my little ones watching an old VHS cartoon. Hope you get over your cold super soon.

Love the chalkboard! I am trying to do the finishing touches on costumes. Let's just say I have been wrestling children to try on costumes. We have super-woman, snow white, and luke skywalker. Happy Halloween!

I would take it to a store with a framing dept, like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or JoAnns. 3M makes stuff just for items like this and I bet those stores would have it (and it won't damage it!) good luck!

All you need are those...please forgive my lack of a better name...zig zag metal picture hanging pieces. You can hot glue or super glue them to the back. They aren't more than a dollar for a pack. Also forgive me if I am suggested this after someone else has. I have hung things this way for a long time and learned it from my mom. It holds up too. Good luck! It is a fun find!! Feel better :)

This chalkboard is FANTASTIC! I had the same exact one! I bought it in November at a garage sale in Midwest City for a $1. Isn't it the coolest! I have been on the search ever since, and have yet to find one!
