I have so many favorite things it is hard to say. One of my favorite things is the holiday music and how it gets in your head and I find myself humming all the time with a smile on my face. I love the smell of my house during the holidays and I love decorating the packages that go under the tree with handmade bows and bling...

My entire family (from Texas, Oregon, Ohio, California, to Georgia) meets at my Grandparents house in Alabama for a few days until Christmas. We've done this all of my (almost 32) years. Me & the cousins play a competitive round of scattegories, uno, cranium...whatever games we can scrounge up. The family keeps growing, but it's nice that we can all gather in that same special place for at least once a year. First White Christmas this year!

My favorite thing about December...I have 2, hope that's ok! On Dec 1 this year I flew to Dublin Ireland for a few days, and had my own adventure. I'm 30, married, with 2 kids, but this trip was just for me. I feel alive again, and appreciate my life so much more. The second, is that I've been off work for pretty much a week now, and I'm at the point where I have no idea what day it is. Days have lost meaning, it's just a wonderful cycle of waking up, playing with my children, going to bed, and waking up to do it all over again with no plans or obligations.

I have many things that are my fave for December....
One - unpacking ornaments that have special meanings and hanging each with care. This year my mom gave me her old ornaments for me to have for next year. They bring back special child memories.
Second - each year we adopt a family from a charity and then my work goes ALL out and then we take it over there. We we lucky to get a young lady that was abused with 2 children and she had nothing. we got her beds, kitchen table and stuff for house and bathrooms, toys and clothes and to see those children and theirs smiles and laughter!! That is what December and the holidays are all about!!
