Sicky, Sick, Sick

Sicky, Sick, Sick
We've had two full days (and one long night) of fevers, vomit, achy legs, extra naps, Pedialyte, piles and piles of soiled laundry, little ones needing extra holding, and big ones just wanting those germs to work their way out. The timing could not have been better, though, as far as Brett's schedule goes. Had this happened over the weekend while he was away and while I was wrapping up E-Course writing...well, I don't know what I would've done.

We're hoping the fevers break soon and appetites return. We're kind of forcing liquids on Sebastian and Ruby is still able to nurse so she's doing a bit better than him. Other than that, I'm enjoying the sunshine outside, some happy mail, and looking forward to some lazy (non-sick) days once we catch up on laundry and e-mail. Here's to a boring rest of the month!

Thank you for the enthusiastic response to Style Your Space! It's so exciting to hear what students have been saying and has definitely been a bright spot these last two days!

I hope you're well and happy.
xo,
Rachel

aw... so sorry you guys had to get a bug! It's so hard to see your kids sick, but I'm glad you're all over the worst. Way to go for being an awesome Momma and cleaning up all the soiled laundry and taking great care of your family Rachel. Treat yourself to a muffin at Mudhouse asap. XO

Oh, poor babies! I definitely remember that the only good thing abot being ill when I was little was that I got loads of extra cuddles from my mum. I'm sure yours feel the same :)

Hi Rachel,

I wanted to say I'm really impressed that you're still nursing Ruby. It's times like these when it really counts--go mama!

Oh no! Here is to hoping you guys are well on the mend! Congratulations on your newest e-course, we'll be moving (rent to own, eek!) and I'm thinking my Mr. and I will take it together!

We went through that a couple weeks ago. The only upside for me was that my son was quiet and snuggly, which he never is when he's healthy! Oh, and he is now old enough to get the throw-up into a receptacle, which cuts down significantly on the laundry.
Speedy recovery to you.

Oh dear. Hope your little guys feel better so soon! Germs are the worst. My little 1 year old really liked all the juicy fruits while she was sick, helped get those fluids in her too. Mandarin oranges, grapes and strawberries!

Get well soon! I'm dreading the day Aura will be sick for the first time...I'm hoping to sign up for your new e-course when the pennies come in the bank, I'm childishly excited about it!

I hope you all are feeling better (and it sounds like the adults steered clear - phew!!) We have been sick sick sick here too...except Ella keeps sharing her germs with me too - boo :(

I love that you're still nursing Ruby (we're still nursing too) I think it's great!

And I'm love love loving Style Your Space - I go around looking at everything with a new perspective now :)

How, Miss Rachel, do you manage? How do you take care of all that a wife and mother needs to take care of and still do all that YOU do? Please (pleading, desperate) inquiring minds want to know. Because, I'm a mom and I just wish I was as Super as you are.

Poor babes :( I hope everyone is on the road to recovery and are feeling tip top again soon. This morning I discovered that George has pink eye for the first (and hopefully last) time. Yucky!t
