The Monday After

Found in OKC
I will always remember hearing about it on Twitter first. Nothing's over but I'll still take it. I'll take a little hope that things have a chance of shifting.

I'm proud of my brother and husband and the ways they are committed to serving their country and wonder how this changes things. IF this changes things.

I stayed up way too late thinking about all of this. Remind me to buy a newspaper or two.

xo,
Rachel

amen. well said. knowing to me this justice isn't enough but somehow there is still hope. moral has been boosted and still I raise my hat, heart and prayers most of all to all our men and women who are fighting and who fought the good fight.

it seems surreal. it was the last thing i expected to hear when the breaking news report interrupted my show. I rejoiced, then realized i didn't want to rejoice about someone dying. But I feel oddly relieved. I am happy that my children and grandchildred will be born into a world where he and Hussein no long live.

I felt torn too.. should I be celebrating another person's death? Is that right? But I agree, one less horrible ugly person living.

Thank your husband and brother for me. I am so grateful for people like them serving our country and protecting our freedoms. This whole thing is so surreal, but I believe more than anything that now is a time to pray for peace. Blessings to you and your family.

It was Monday morning here in the UK when I saw it on the news, and I was surprised by a feeling of relief, and that hearing about someone's death definitely felt like GOOD news. I can't believe it's been 10 years!
