Their New Pillows

I purchased these two pillows on Etsy a few weeks ago to add to the kids' Easter baskets but only got them unloaded from our road trip this weekend. The bird pillow is from Skinny Laminx and the lion pillow is from Sass and Peril. Both shops are full of beautifully designed product if you aren't familiar with them.

Ruby is so much more affectionate and attached to her dolls and plushies than Sebastian was. He's definitely BFF with his latest Transformer and loves to act out scenarios with the Autobots and Decepticons and he still sleeps with his teddy bear but it's kind of a casual friendship.

Ruby on the other hand gets her dolls in a death grip when she squeezes them. She passes out kisses like candy and has no favorites. All are loved equally. Part of her bedtime routine is saying goodnight not only to her dollies but to the girls in the two art prints near her crib. And the globes. And sometimes Teddy when she feels like Sebastian hasn't given him enough attention.

Do your kiddos have a favorite stuffed animal or doll? I got one of mine back from my parents' house over Christmas. I'll have to share soon.

xo,
Rachel

So cute! I love handmade stuffed animals... I made monsters for my niece and nephews for Christmas. Homemade stuffies have so much more personality!

You're the cutest! You and your husband created the most adorable kids around, be very proud. Though I hope Ruby grows out of that stage though ;)

You know, it's funny, my daughter loves her pillow pets. She's named them and everything and brings them with her all over. But her favorite toy has been one of those 'needle' bits, where you put you hand (or some other shape like your face) on it, and the plastic needles make a shape?

She nearly sleeps with the thing.

Oh my, those pillows are SUPER cute. I bought a couple of bunnies from sleepyking before my boys came home. They're just so precious. It's almost sad to see them covered in drool. But that's baby love, right?

Oh my God, that is so ADORABLE. I think I'm possibly going to die from cuteness. You have such brilliant kids.

Haha, my 2 year old is in love with her dolls too. She has named all three of them Penelope, after my neighbors new baby and she takes them with us everywhere. I can thankfully usually convince her to leave them in the car, but all three must be buckled into the backseat with her for every. single. trip. And she uses a little play shopping cart to transport them to the car, along with her purse (or two) and whatever other random toy she is in love with. And an open umbrella, in case it rains. Little girls are so funny!

My are all smitten with our Woody (Toy Story) doll. I blogged about it last week here:

My youngest, 21 months, is a total baby doll lover and has taken to her dollies much more than her older sisters ever did.

These pillows are adorable! I don't have any kids -- is it weird if I get them for myself?

Such a cute story about Ruby!

My grandson loves Thomas the Train and has been known so sleep with them as well. Of late, his fave is Emily.
