I couldn't decide. They're all perfect.
I love my
Modernica rocker and thrift store fixer upper but most people that come to visit are afraid to sit in them. So, I've been searching for a more comfortable alternative to the wire chair that someone would be able to relax in. I want one so comfortable that I could potentially fall asleep in it while watching an episode of The Bachelor on my computer. Although I could probably fall asleep watching that on the cold, hard floor.
The thing is, there aren't a lot of comfortable chairs out there that aren't either fugly, expensive-orama, or sitting in an IKEA warehouse far from MY house. So, the search continues. There's always craigslist...

i'm with ms james on the first chairs, but I do love the last one too. urban has an ikat slipper chair that I am seriously swooning over right now, but i'm not sure how I would feel about a chair with no arms for comfort that is!!

ReplyDeleteI love the 4th chair...lovely but waaaay out of my price range I'm sure. Craigslist is always a great place to find unique pieces, or sometimes just by asking around...you never know who may want to get rid of just what you are looking for. :)

The Eames chair (the second one down) is actually quite comfortable to sit on.
ReplyDeleteMy friends have several of these, and I've sat on them for movie viewing and game watching.
I don't know that I'd throw out my recliner ;), but it's good for a few hours of television watching.

I LOVE all of these Rachel. Good choices. I wish I could have a whole room...just for chairs! I am slightly obsessed. I will let you know if I ever come across any of these. Charlie's did have some good(pricey) chairs today...by the way :)

So many pretties! I am right there with you on the hunt. I have an Ikea chair and streamlined couch that are serving as placeholders until I find the perfect replacement (hopefully in a place I can actually snag them from). Sigh. :-)
