Thrifting In Springfield=Always Good

Elsie took me to a new favorite mini flea market in downtown-ish Springfield this weekend. I'd always wanted to go in but it was literally NEVER open. I'm officially a fan and hope to go back again soon to talk to a lady about a horse, er...table cloth.

So, I misread the price on these two jars and ended up paying more than I wanted to but in the end I'm so glad I brought them home because the faceted glass is lovely in the light and the little owls are charming.

Here are a few things similar to what I'm usually looking for:

Pretty chairs with floral upholstery.

  22. I collect vintage dresses, because its functional art! Especially if you can tell they were handmade, then I like to think about who the dress was made for and who made it and what they were thinking when they made it, then every time I would wear the dress I'd know that it has its own secrets and stories and that makes me happy :)

I'm also living in Springfield and wondered what thrift store these great bowls are from? Also, if you don't mind, what is the thrift shop you love that is off of I-44 near Joplin?
