Journals #3 and #4

Check out MY SHOP to see these journals. They are my new favorite thing to make. So, in case you don't think you'll be getting around to the previous tutorial anytime this month, feel free to buy one readymade!

Today we moved S into my brother's vacant room while he's away at flight school to start night training. I'm dreading it. Its a little bit like that fear of bedtime I had the night we brought him home from the hospital. I just knew that rest wasn't going to be a part of it. So, if you're a Mama who is on the other side of a good nights sleep, feel free to leave me a comment about how its worth it.

I'll be back tomorrow with a good story either way.

Sweet dreams!

R

EDITED: Both journals have sold. THANKS, LOVELY PEOPLE!

Hey there, as someone who has done it four times over, take it a day at a time and persevere. You can't judge if your going to have a good nights sleep until its the next morning! I know what your going through, its weird not having them there in the room with you any more but your doing the right thing and just hold on to that :) It's all a Mum can do sometimes :)
HUGS and wishing you all the best :)

Enid was on oxygen since she was a preemie, so as soon as she was weaned off, she had her own room. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I'm glad her room was straight across the house from ours so we could get there quickly!

She's been pretty good about sleeping through the night since she started eating "real" food. It will all be over before you can blink! Take it easy and enjoy him needing you!

Oh..it's worth it...so, VERY worth it. You're a good Mommy, it'll be okay. :)

in my experience its US (the adults) that have a harder time with transitions than the children. binkies, bottles, beds, potty are all big milestones to us. its amazing how little ones just adapt, sometimes easier than us. hang in there. this first act of letting go hurts a little, but a good night sleep feels soooo good. :)

I went through a lot of sleepless nights getting Katie to sleep through the night in her own room, I feel your pain! It's definitely worth it though, as hard as it is to just "let them cry it out".
Hope it went well for you! :)
