Why I Keep Every Catalog

Anthropologie knows what makes a girl swoon. Their children's bedding is glorious and I was inspired to finally make my own backyard version of their indoor sheet tent (Christmas '07).

Today I thought a lot about why I love springtime. I think its the movement towards better things that seems to infuse the day to day with a little more joy. Longer days, brighter colors, far off travels...

Can we see pictures of your version of the tent? I loved that and it makes me want to make my son have a magical camping room!

I'll probably put another one up this weekend so I might put up a pic or two of that one.

OMG, I totally know what you mean about their catalogs...I'm seriously considering wallpapering with them so I can be surrounded at all times :) Just kidding, but seriously.

I hear you on that one. The colors of spring are so inspiring. And of course, every time I get an email from Anthropologie with their newest marketing idea, I just die - it's so gorgeous and creative. Have you bought much from them? When ever I've been into one of their actual stores I've been a little disapointed with the quality of the fabrics, so I've never bought anything! :( But I'm still so intrigued by their designs! I am just curious what your thoughts were...

Yeah we made the sheet tent too with an old duvet cover in our basement. It was fun while it lasted...until someone pulled the screw out of the wall and tore out a bunch of dry wall. LOL!!! Now we have a giant hole as a memory!!

Funny you should post that particular picture from the catalog, because I had been staring at the same one for hours. I want that sofa so very badly! Too bad for my champagne taste/kool-aid money situation goin' on over here.

Indoor sheet tent? That is so adorable! :) That makes me think of my favorite scene from The Holiday :) I ordered a catalog, can't wait to get it!

An indoor sheet tent sounds very cool. Also, loved what you said at the end. Spring really is such a joyful time for us.
