Grand Opening!

Welcome to PonyParty.

I'll be updating the shop every day for the rest of the week and will take a break on the weekends. A girl's got to go shopping sometime, right? Thanks for all of your excitement and suspense. I hope it was worth the wait. If you don't see something you MUST HAVE today, check back with us later. I've been saving some special items for later this week once the shop is well under way. Many of you have asked about the colored lotus bowl set and I'm still talking Brett into letting go of them. IF I do put them up, I'll let you know in advance.

To celebrate our Grand Opening, I'll be doing a few give aways. All you have to do is list your favorite thrift store finds in the comments section below before Saturday and you'll get a chance to win one of three thrifted items of your choice. ALSO, if you mention our store and link up to us on your blog this week, let me know and I'll give you %20 off your first purchase. Make sure to e-mail your blog post URL and full name to our new shop address. Aponyparty (@) gmail (dot) com.

Back to work. You guys are the best!

~Rachel

I LOVE my London Fog jacket. It's cream, tan and sky blue houndstooth, hits mid-calf, and it was only $7! I still haven't taken the price tag off, I was so proud of the deal.

The shop looks great! I can't wait to sit down and browse every item!

My favorite thrift store finds are my vintage suitcases that I found at Decades in SLC. They always have one or two to choose from and I buy one every time I go. I use them for storage now, but someday I want to stack them and use them as an end table.

my favorite thrift store find are these two lamps that have the big round early 1960 shade in black and aqua speckle... the base is actually n ash tray for cigars but I have cool green beads in them.... I got these for our first apartment that was very sheek... now they just make our more contemporary home eclectic.... I don't think I'll ever part with them.

I found a round lamp in a thrift store last year. I took it home, painted it green and found a cylinder shade to put on it. It looked just like the lolly lamp from pottery barn, except I got mine for $5!

Ooooh. Should have read that entire post, but I got too excited and jumped straight to your shop. I already bought something, so is it too late to link you up on my blog for that 20%? Anyway, favorite thrift finds...a wooden soda crate for Holly soda (I use it as a spice rack in my kitchen) & a tin piece from the side of an old Chinese restaurant in China town from the 1930's. It has a hand-painted dragon in embossed tin. Lucky, lucky find!

My fave ever thrift find was a navy blue 1950's hat that kind of reminds me of something an air hostess might wear! I've never actually worn it outside, but it makes me happy just to look at it ^__^

Good luck with the store, even though I know you don't need it ^__^ Amy x

Congrats on the store opening! I was just there and you have picked out a great selection (i owned the green s&p set long ago).
I collect vintage barware and love to go poking around in tiny off-the-beaten-path shops. A few years ago i found this tiny stoe that was STUFFED with crazy mismatched things. In a box under a rack of dresses i found 4 Tiki glasses - they were a rare version of a female Tiki Leilani. The owner - a little old lady named Belle, who was 112 if she was a day - looked at me like she had never seen the glasses before and declared "you can have them for a buck a piece."
SCORE! 2 for me and 2 for my friend Chris who collects Tikis - best $4 i ever spent.

How Fun!

My Fave Finds are the cool silver pieces that I seem to always find. They are usually tarnished beyond belief, but I now have a cool silver tray for all my perfumes, a silver dish for my "nighttime removal" (of my clips, watch, rings etc) and I also have a silver "cordial Server" (from like the 40's) (it has 6 little silver cups hanging in a little tray) that I use to keep rosebuds in :)

Congrats on the new shop! I have to tell you that I have the yellow pyrex bowl...I actually have the entire set..red, green! They were passed down to me from someone to use in college and I thought they were cool so I have always had them. I saw them at an antique shop a few weekends ago - and was shocked to see the entire set sold fro $68! I had a score and I didn't even know it! I also realized that my parents house is stock full of good finds! {their basement!} I just don't always know what to do with the stuff or how to display it. I would love to see more pictures of your house as it comes together for some ideas! Thanks!
