Was That Monday or Tuesday?

fI spent the majority of yesterday hovering near projects that needed to get started, dishes that could've been put away, laundry that was just waiting on someone to change it out, and fun activities that might've kept S and I occupied all afternoon. Somehow, I couldn't manage to get anything finished. I shared my frustration with Brett that afternoon and he gave me a task. A single, manageable, practical job that was both a game for Sebastian and a chance at accomplishing something for me.

Counting our change and sorting it into bags.

It took us three times as long because Sebastian's version of the sorting game differed greatly from mine and we had to take a break and work on our communication before we finally came to an agreement about whose job it was to put the brown ones into the baggy. Not mine.

This is a note we got from a package my brother sent recently. He sent Sebastian a t-shirt that isn't quite as big as originally thought and will probably fit by the end of the summer, along with a drawing of a helicopter on his note. Sebastian always relates helicopters to Uncle Joe so we have it proudly displayed on his cork board.

It's technically already Wednesday and the list is getting longer but I am feeling hopeful that my inability to focus has passed and that we can still have an enjoyable day despite the rainy forecast. After all, you only get so many Wednesdays.

Ergh. My head's been in that form since Friday. I tried all weekend to get an assignment done, and all I had to show by Monday night was 185 words. And instead of procrastinating by doing something wonderufl like crafting, or useful like laundry & dishes, I pretty much browsed online the whole weekend. I feel so gross this week...!!

Sometimes ya just have those kind of days but I have to admit that since I've been pregnant I've had a much harder time focusing on anything. It might be pregnancy brain! Blaming things on pregnancy is the best :)
