Oh those candy canes are ADORABLE : ) I have to say I am loving the egg nog right now as my holiday treat! PS. Quick question, what is your favorite yarn for crocheting? I love your granny square quilt and am making one for my girlie right now, but am not loving how the yarn is looking once it's in the square. Thanx Rachel : ) Anne
MMM, how gorgeous are those sugar cookies? My FAVORITE Christmas treat is just that: frosted sugar cookies. I like the cookies to be really soft. So yummy.
ooh all that looks yummy! I'm getting a tummy ache just looking at all that yummy sweetness! My favorite holiday treat is a pumpkin dessert. I make it every Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Definately candy canes! Mum always buys a whole heap to hang on the tree and has to buys extras for us to eat so we don't steal them off the tree. Also mum makes the best apple pie every christmas. It is amazing!
ooooh, the holiday sweets are a big part of what makes the time so special! :) I like: eggnog shortbread with cherries in the middle butter tarts caramel corn (with peanuts!) ginger snaps toffifee new years cookies (mennonite thing) I could go on!! I think I have quite the sweet tooth about now, also. lol
Ben makes the best egg nog. It's delicious. I could drink it all year round but then I would look like a big egg. I make white christmas and macarons. The macarons take me forever but they are pretty darn good. :) x
So pretty! I love chocolate covered pretzels. And cake balls. And chocolate covered strawberries. Let's face it -- if it's dipped in chocolate, I'm probably going to like it. :)
Yum! Seeing those big marshmallows reminded me of the year I made hot cocoa gifties for everyone. Cocoa kits with personalized mugs and homemade marshmallows. Delicious!
And one of my favorite memories has always been making candy cane cookies with my grandma every year. Love them!!
Thanks for sharing the delicious-looking pics. YUMMY!
Will be my first year having some traditional Scandinavian glogg, so I'm excited for that! Anybody else have some recipes for more traditional Scandinavian goodies?
the pastel candy canes are very pretty. fav this time of year: old school christmas cookies. Just the sugar cookies with the icing made out of powdered sugar!
My family always makes shortbread cookies cut out in the shape of strawberries (because my mom likes strawberries, not that they have anything to do with Christmas), and we dip the bottoms in chocolate. I love that tradition :)

YUM! Look at all that decadence!
We love cocoa made with goat's milk. Mmm. Like chocolate cheesecake. One of the most delicious things you'll ever taste.
And homemade cinnamon rolls...making some right now.

I'm feeling pretty rotten tonight and this post made me feel a little better. Beautiful photos (and treats).
As it is summer here my favourite Christmas treat is a whole box of juicy mangoes. The scent of the tree and the mangoes screams Christmas (for me!)
A new tradition for us is a gingerbread house- delicious and oh so fun to make.
I love the ornament biscuits (cookies). They've inspired me to get baking.
they're so pretty you don't wanna eat them... almost!
