Catching Up With Brett

source

I've been reconnecting with my good looking husband in between laundry, errands, nap times, and diapers! We are definitely appreciating each other more after being apart for a month and enjoying that feeling of newness that has been infused into our marriage all of the sudden. Not that I want to do that again ANY time soon. However, it's been extra sweet on this side of things.

Be back soon.
xoxo,
Rachel

That is one thing I gotta say about them being gone all the time. While it sucks to have them away, there's no feeling that matches them coming home.

Glad you're celebrating :)

Aww I'm glad for you :) I'm in the middle of an unexpected six weeks apart from my fiance (September 25th!) but what's amazing is realizing that unless there is an emergency someday, this is the longest we'll ever have to be apart.

Yay for your husband being home!! Reunion after being apart is so awesome! It almost makes the time apart worth it (but not quite!). Mine has been gone for 2 weeks and we have 1 more to go. I can't wait to be back together!

I second your sentiments! My husband was in Costa Rica for 3 weeks last November. Having him back home and with me was the best feeling. Absence DOES make the heart grow fonder!

Happy to hear he's home! It's always funny to me how even when their away for a little amount of time, they always come home looking different. More rugged, more handsome and hewn. Must be the camo. Enjoy each other!

I just wanted to let you know that I've been reading your blog for a while now and enjoy it thoroughly. You've got some great ideas. I also wanted to let you know that me and my husband are both in the military (he's active now, I got off after I got pregnant again and am now ROTC) and couldn't have said it better in describing how the absence renews one's marriage. My husband is gone now (deployment :(). Just wanted to let you know that if that day does come for you (let's hope not), I've been on both sides of the fence and I can answer any question you might have. BTW, I'm insanely jealous of your talent. What an inspiration!
