This Time of Year

Chrysanthemum

I'm remembering those two weeks in October of 2008 when we knew we had something special on the way and the excitement all the members of our families felt along with us. The sadness of losing that pregnancy has faded in time but this time of year will always tug at my heart a little. I plan on hugging my children close and whispering in their ears how precious they are to me.

xoxo,
Rachel

I am sorry Rachel. Now you have 2 beautiful and healthy children. I just have one little boy who's growing so fast...I want to start planning my second pregnancy...but I am not even more afraid than before...I am afraid something happens...something goes wrong...it's hard to describe.

Happy Fall,
Vianey :)

Rachel,
I will pray for you, as I just encountered a miscarriage myself. I echo your words about holding your precious little ones and telling them you love them a few extra hundred times;-) I just have one little boy, Graeme, and this miscarriage, although sad, has made me appreciate him and love on him times a trillion.

ps. love your blog and am so happy to see your new posts pop-up on my side-bar!

deep breaths and lots of XOs to your kiddies -- that's a good plan.

I didn't know you had lost a baby and I am so so sorry. We just lost our daughter a month ago tomorrow when I was almost 27 weeks... and i am encouraged to see you pressed in and had little Ruby!

Remembering your sweet baby with you today!

This post brought tears to my eyes. I did not know you had lost a baby. The comments are so sweet and though I cannot imagine or say that I understand the pain you are feeling, I will be praying for you. Those 2 little ones are definitely a beautiful blessing. ;-)

*hugs* same thing happened to me January 2009 - I got pregnant with Ella right after that - but it was really tough to loose that little bean.

My sister suffered a miscarriage right after Christmas last year. It was her first pregnancy. She said there is no pain in the world like it. Its sad to see how common it is and how much pain it causes. Sorry for you.

But here is a happy note, I just found your blog and it is beautiful! Thanks for sharing your life!

Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm a relatively new reader, and I had no idea you had suffered this kind of pain. I, too, have lost two of my precious babies in the last year. Catherine's due date would have been next week, so this week is hard for me, too. Sending you hugs....

Tomorrow is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, so I will light a candle for your sweet little one, too, if you don't mind. :)

So well said. I understand this, because I feel that way for a couple days every July.

I had a tear in my eye from the post and the other comments have pushed them over the edge.

Love and hugs to all of you.

Oh, I am so sorry. My husband and I suffered a miscarriage just six weeks ago. It's still extremely hard. It would have been our first child, and we've been trying for a while. Just rejoice in your beautiful children and kiss them often!

Rachel, I also had a miscarriage in October 2008. I only knew for a few days that we were expecting but it didn't make it any easier when we lost that baby.

My youngest daughter was conceived just a few weeks (accidently!) after our loss and she is now 15 months old.
