I'm totally attracted to pink in home decor but only as long as it's balanced with lots of white, some black, or pops of green and/or yellow. Lately I've been drawn towards softer muted tones and find myself wanting to repaint the pink lockers I've got sitting in my living room space. What once seemed perfectly bold feels a little obnoxious. I just have to wait for the temperatures to climb so I can take it outside and give it a makeover.

What colors are you drawn to when you're looking at interior design photos? Is it the same as the colors you notice in your closet or colors you choose for craft projects, etc?

xoxo,
Rachel

Lately for me it's been yellow and grey! I just bought an adorable yellow and grey fabric to cover an old canvas so I can hang it in our office (which has grey walls!).

I love natural colors.
Anything that resembles nature.
It makes me feel at home.

lately i've been an orange girl and have gradually been able to incorporate glimpses of it into just about every room of our little home. {except for in the pink bathroom which came with our 1950's house...just can't get the orange to work no matter how hard i try!}

I love aqua and mustard in small shots for decorating and craft projects. Gray has also definitely crept into my closet.

That first photo is incredible. Thats my dream home, for sure! I like golds and browns or grey and teal.

I like pale greens and dark reds and anything shiny (though not all three together) when decorating; I rarely wear any of those colours, though, as I don't think they suit me - I think decorating's a chance to indulge in them!

yes...i wear a lot of fall, bold colors, so it is what is in my main room. But I am overdue for a change. I don't want it to be fall all the time!

i like to stick to neutrals mostly, but always add things like pillows, throws or prints in a bright colour - mainly bold pink! the room in my house that is a chaos of colour is my kitchen, cos that's my happy creative space.

I love the last picture - the mixture of patterns and what a view from that window.

We're decorating our house at the moment. After stripping away several decades of wallpaper we are treating the walls to light and fresh colours and then vintage treasures add more character and depth.

Green is a current favourite. Pictures on my blog if you are interested xx

grey, grey, grey!

i have been drawn to classic grey for a long time. we've just renovated our house and are painting the interior walls a mid grey with white trim, and the outside of the house will be mostly grey, with white and glossy navy blue details.

grey just pairs so well with timber, and looks lovely with just about every colour. plus in clothes, grey suits almost everybody.

I'm drawn to grays, and turquoise tones. All my walls are gray in my house, one is even a super dark gray that looks almost black. A lot of the furniture and decorations in my living room are either turquoise or green. Those were even my wedding colors!

I love just about every color - my house looks like a hippie lives in it! I'm super partial to teal, red and pink - tend to mix those too much. My entire craft room is those colors.
Out of curiousity, what is hanging from the ceiling in the first pic? I thought is was a swing at first, but realized it was too high...

I am drawn to reds & aquas. Those pink lockers are so cool! Please don't paint them, they are so amazing! Definitely unique, which I LOVE!

Pops of orange are for sure my favorite these days. I wish fresh flowers weren't so expensive, I'd have a new orange arrangement every week!

I am really drawn to whites, black, greens(all shades.) I usually like to make the boldest thing in the room the paint color and then set neutrals against that. My clothes are usually just black or grey...with pops of color. I guess I never thought about there being a connection between the two. Good post.

in my head...my living room looks just like photo #1..in reality..umm..not even CLOSE!! But that is typically what I am drawn too..white walls, black a blank canvas, with touches of natural elements and pops of color. Strangely my scrap pages aren't like that at all..weird.

I loove all the touches of pink, and if I wern't married I think every room would have pink in it! Recently I've been drawn to sunny colors though, yellows, oranges, reds, and of course pinks :)

I'm still thinking if I should paint the floors white... Should I? Looking at these photos make me want to open the paint can that has been sitting on the living room for weeks!

I love the first shot, with the swing attached to the exposed pipe. How perfect for a kid-friendly space!
