Project Weekend
If all goes well I'm going to get my studio at least PARTIALLY organized so I can start knocking out some fun DIY's. I found two old child-sized cots at a local thrift shop that I plan on recovering. Perfect for camping out (in the backyard) or lounging around in on lazy, summer afternoons!
Do you have any fun projects to tackle inside/outside this weekend? Or are you hoping for a nice, boring afternoon of having nothing to do?
xo,
Rachel

Organizing my studio is exactly what's on my plate this weekend! :)
My Mister started it for me while I was away (which is lovely as I never do know where to start!) so now i just need to add the final touches :)
That & sifting through all my thrifted finds to figure out what to keep and what not to keep!
The 2 old cots sounds wonderful too
Cheray x
I should organize my workspace too but I think I'll probably end up trying to set up the nursery for baby. Or start organizing anyway. =P And it sounds like you have some great DIYs coming up!
i have just completed my first craft project in may years, like half an hour ago! it is a cross stitch of a red london double decker bus, i am v.v. proud! next step is to fire up my sewing machine and make some cushion covers out of all the reminent fabric i have accumulated!
x.
Good luck with your studio organizing! I'm hoping to get some final things together for my May 15th wedding, so most of my projects will consist of planning seating, making favors, and the like! Best of luck with your cot project and have a lovely weekend!
Oh I wish I had a studio to organise! I also wish I had something like that picture so that right now with all this wind and rain I could curl up and read! However this weekend I will be cleaning the house in preparation for my parents arrival who are coming from overseas for a short visit! Yay!!
I love that bedroom, red and aqua are one of my favorite color combos.
This weekend I get to go back to my hometown and witness one of my high school besties get married. SO excited!! Though, I have had a moment of two this week wishing I could finish up a couple quilts... oh well.
Cleaning the floors in my apartment! I know it sounds silly and boring, but with a baby-near-toddler it is almost impossible for me to get anything done!
what a cute room! i have the day off and may do some crafting/blogging if the weather is not nice although it looks like it is sunny now so i may try to get my 2 little boys out into the world!
happy friday :)
Cleaning off my desk so I can start my new journal class, and sprucing up my daisy patch in the front garden with some vintage gnomes! :D
I'm working on packing up to move at the end of May, going to my nephew's birthday party, and then working Sunday :/
I'm hoping to finish up some big projects for Renegade (Austin) and then relax... and clean. But I have a long list of projects to sew and craft!
Love your ideas -- can't wait to see what you knock up with the cots!
The preschooler did wake me up asking first thing to do craft...maybe I can get super motivated and supervise his painting of a large canvas, we'll see! Have a great weekend :)
love the inspiration picture! We will be starting on our veggie garden this weekend and also finish painting the kitchen! Can't wait to see the cots!
A heart-shaped wreath for our bedroom, a night sky felt board for isy, a pompom animal mobile for Toby and maybe get started on a paper quilt for the living room wall. Luckily the weather is so ordinary here, otherwise I'd be painting the outside of the house instead! Happy weekending!
I finally got my own desk, with a lot of space and a ton of shelves...I'm hoping to mod podge it and get things organized. I am starting to teach myself to sew and have a pattern all cut out, I really want my daughter to have a handmade dress from her mama. I'm really excited about my mini-crafting nook and hope to make the most of it. And I am so glad to have such good bloggers to look to for inspiration!
I was able to finish a beanbag toss game for my littles. They actually love it and helped make the beanbags too! Win. Win. Next up - organize my online life and make some handbags and totes. Have a lovely weekend organizing your craft room and hopefully doing boring lay-around stuff too! xo
I am finishing a chalkboard frame this weekend! What could be better than a newly painted teal frame and adhesive chalkboard paper?
That is definitely what SHOULD be on my list. I have some cleaning to do and hopefully I can clear off my desk enough to start on my new illustration.
I love that little space in the picture. :) Sounds like the perfect idea for the mattresses! I can't wait to go thrifting when I get back home in Minneapolis. There just isn't anything in the middle of Wisconsin...
xx
