Kits and Clearance Items!

Kits are up in the RVKC Etsy Shop. The October kit is versatile enough to use whether you're into Halloween or not and comes with a custom made vinyl rub-on that you can attach to your scrapbook pages, your computer case, your wall, etc. We're having a big clearance sale to empty our shelves once again. You can justify your purchases at such low prices. Ha!
We're packing the days full of to do lists in the Denbow household. I've attached a dry erase board to a wall near the kitchen to keep my priorities in front of me. Most days my list remains full. For some reason I still think I can work through them before bedtime, despite two years of experience that shows me otherwise. Ha! I pretend to complain but I'm thankful for the opportunity to work from home. I know those moments in the front yard when time stops and games of kick back start over can't be replaced.

Funny Story. While at Cider Days, I noticed a good-looking guitar player roaming the midway that looked like a younger, skinnier version of James Marsden. I told Silje that if I saw him again the next day, I'd give him my sister-in-law's phone number. I didn't see him all day on Sunday until after I had broken down the booth and was waiting for Brett to pick me up in the truck and haul our stuff away. He was still carrying his guitar and backpack and was chatty with another guy as they headed down the street. I'm pretty sure he saw me staring. I had a laugh with Brittany about it and left it at that.
Fast forward two weeks later. Last night, Brett and I went to a local Chinese food joint for a rare date night and who walks in but our Mr. Marsden! I tried not to squeal with unbelief as I explained it all to Brett. I just couldn't bring myself to walk over there and explain my sillyness to this handsome stranger. I'm a coward. We watched which direction he walked as he left with his food and again I teased Brett about THE NEXT TIME I SEE HIM...
Ten minutes later the guy is back because he got the wrong order. Is that ridiculous or what?!

Being the creeps that we are, we managed to take a picture of him with our camera phone to show Brittany, who later approved of any phone calls he might make to her in the future. It's like we're in a movie.

So, what would you do if you saw him again? Let the man live in peace or break the ice? (to be continued)

p.s. Fun news coming soon.

Oh, James Marsden...that is one good looking Oklahoma boy.

If he looked like him I would introduce the guy to my sisters.

Go for it.

That October kit is really nice, so tempting!!

Since it's for someone else I would go up and ask him, but if it were for myself I'd be too shy...so I say go for it!

You could always post on the Craigslist Missed Connections thing. Just in case fate doesn't work all mysterious again!! I probably would have gone up to him the first time, though, 'cause I love talking to strangers like that!!

That is the greatest story!! :)
I would definitely talk to him about it, for sure...it would be flattering for him and give him a story to tell if nothing else :)

Hahaha...it is fate for your sister-in-law. I think you should definitely approach him :) Or, you can have your sister post on Craigslist's "missed encounters" -- and then that would truly be destiny!

I saw that you had pears... my husband and I do as well. We live in Springfield, too-- the situation with them has been crazy-- so many in the yard and none of them actually ripe! Boo! Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself-- I'm michelle. My friend and I read SFgirl's blog and saw your guest spot last week and were like "woah, she lives in Springfield" after reading about Charlie's place and the Coffee ethic. I mean, two of the best places in Springfield! I started clicking on your other pages-etsy and the like-- and saw that we have so much in common! I have an etsy page too (although I never sell anything) and sold stuff at Cider Days last year. Anyway, nice to meet you. -Michelle

ummm... obvs you talk to him! you should have a typed calling card for her on hand at all times or something! or at least a 7yh grade style love note on her behalf (i pass those all the time). i mean seriously, even if he is attatched or not into blind dates set up by strangers it would probably still totes make his day and that's just good karma!

I think it is a pretty good "what if" love story as is. Maybe it would be less stalkery (is that a word?) if SHE ran into him and said something like, "you look just like a guy my sil told me about..."
Oh, and big congrats on ohdeedoh! Cool to see Sebastian's room there!

i say talk to the man! with these types of situations i would say to myself, what do i have to lose... nothing. my nothing to lose mantra is really working in my favor lately, so i'll send a bit of that mojo over onto you! can't wait to hear what happens next...
