I saw a similar aqua cooler filled with flowers in a magazine recently and loved it so when I found this one today for a DEAL I didn't have to think long about bringing it home. We had one when we were little that we'd take to my dad's church softball games but I'm pretty sure my brother and I would always drink all the water before the game had started. It was such a novelty.

There's so many treasures in the Midwest! If it weren't for the tornados, I'd seriously consider moving there. (it's one of the reasons we're moving to a different town here. It's all vintage shops and treasures.) I think you have such a great eye for things!

Love, love thrifting. I just posted a photo of a vintage mirror I picked up for $10 at a yard sale.
My husband and I use to live in Spfld. We were there for college. Loved it.
I wanna hit whatever neighborhood you are garage selling in :D Went to a new-to-me flea mrkt today. Came out with a pink/orange doily, a 1970's map of NY and some old buttons.
Nixa's city-wide starts tomorrow ;)
sigh what a lovely summertime memory. i love your sweet blog and all of its eye candy delights. i'm actually working right now on a tote bag with leather straps made from the christmastime tutorial you posted, i have made about five of those bags since then and always meant to thank you for the instruction & inspiration! xo
the embroidered cloth? perfect.
love the colors throughout the whole photo.
yay for great finds.
yay for memories.

lookit all those goodies! dreaming about finding a good quilt :)
xo.
i love those dishes in the back left corner!! the colors are perfect.
Sigh...Garage sales in Florida are never that rewarding.
Thankfully we'll be moving back to IN this July...a bit late for garage sale season but I'll be ready come next year!
Love LOVE the cooler!!
The sight of the drinks cooler just gave me an incredible flashback. I suddenly remembered being six years old in America (I'm British but moved to the US for six months for my dad's work), going on a car trip somewhere and having kool-aid in a cooler just like that but red coloured.
Ooh, that was a bit weird but a lovely memory!
Those are awesome finds!!! I can't wait till I live somewhere with more than 1 thrift store!
So cute!! I really need to go thrifting soon... It's been way too long!
Seriously, garage sale season IS the best!
so jealous! your 'bounty' is wonderful!! need to garage sale and thrift shop soon!!!
great finds, love the cooler and the birdie linen on the back of the chair.
lovely finds! i love the dishes and the roll of... paper? such pretty colors!
Oh my gosh, it has been FOREVER since I've read a blog! Even longer since I've actually blogged! Since I can't go and comment on everyone of your posts I'll just comment on the newest one :) My friend, Andrea, was telling me about this Rachel who was married to this Brett and she loved her blog and I said, hey wait a minute, and then she showed me you! She has apparently been reading it for as long as I had not! funny world
Oooh love the cooler and the casserole is fab too!
I happened upon your little blog a few weeks ago & I saw that you're in Springfield. I am in Willard, but spent many years in Spfd {used to be neighbors with Debra!}...anyway, I was wondering if you were aware of the Nixa city-wide sale this weekend. I love hunting & there has never been another place like Spfd for "side of the road" finds! Love it!
So, I just randomly clicked on a link on Debra's blog, and there you were! Don't know if you remember me or not, but I went to school with you at OBU. Love running into old friends, and so glad to hear you're doing well! Love the site - and love the ideas.
